THE LIBRARY AT SOUTH
I am going to vent, I thought the library was a place to go and be able to concentrate. I came in this morning at 8am to finish some assignments. I have never encountered such rudeness, it has turned into a social hour, a place to talk about the weekend, current events and complain about school. I gave lots of looks of disapproval but since they are obviously ignorant, they didn't catch my frustation. If i spoke my mind, I would probably get kicked out. So if the library is no longer a place of peace and quiet, then where? Oh and the librarian was of no help either, they were in the back office giggling and catching up from the weekend. Not a good way to start my week!

O wow diana, that is horible. I love the library and I never had a problem with it. And the librarians are always very helpful to me. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it. And you should of spoke your mind since the eye scolding didnt help much lol
ReplyDeleteThat is terrible. They should probably place comment cards in the main office so people can make suggestions on how the school can be better for the students. I sometimes find the same thing going on in the stairwells, people are socializing at a standstill and won't even move to let others through, it's rude.
ReplyDeleteI would of been disappointed too. I would of mentioned something to the librarian. Going to the library has it's advantages because some of us don't have that quiet at home. I hope next time you have a better experience.
ReplyDeleteI totally know how you feel. I have been through that so many times. I don't even stay in libraries anymore. People have absolutely no manners and if you dare look or say something, then you are being rude. I only stay in there when Dawn is present, she is very very nice and she knows her stuff (the others don't, sorry!)You would think that such private, expensive university would ensure its rules are followed, it is disappointing.
