A Rose for Emily

This story just goes to show that regardless of what era we live in, it's all the same. People gossiped about this woman when she was alive and then went to her home after her death to gossip some more. Society can be very cruel and harsh. This was a lonely woman who wanted to be left alone and bothered no one but the busy bodies had to make it there business what she did and didn't do and with whom. No different today. unfortunately =(.

    I agree no matter what era we are in people do the same thing. I do not believe gossiping will ever end.

    Society can be cruel. I think we all gossip and judge other people and then expect to not be judged ourselves. I think of the next generation all the time, I have a child just starting school and I have to admit I am nervous for her. Hopefully I taught her to stand up for herself and others in need.
